Rainer Spielmann

Rainer Spielmann is Chairman of the Managing Board of Westdeutsche Immobilien Servicing AG since 23 June 2017. He has been Chairman of the Managing Board of Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank AG since 1 March 2016. Rainer Spielmann is responsible for the Board Office/Group Development, Personnel, Legal, Auditing, Central Customer Support, Private Clients and Treasury business units.

Having joined the Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank AG in March 2005, initially as head of Risk Management, he has been a general agent since January 2006. On 1 October 2006 he was appointed to the bank’s Managing Board, taking responsibility for internal risk control, credit management, investments, accounting and trusts.

In 1979 Rainer Spielmann moved from Sparkasse Essen to WestLB, where he worked in the corporate and real estate credit departments, before transferring to the Corporate Auditing business unit of WestLB Düsseldorf in 1990. In 1994 he became deputy manager of the loan department at WestLB Paris. Following his return from Paris he took on a managerial post in the Risk Management Support & Control department in October 1996. In 1998 he joined the Central Credit Management unit of WestLB as Senior Portfolio Manager. He became head of Loan Review in 2000.

Rainer Spielmann was born in 1957. He is a qualified banker and a graduate of the Sparkassenakademie Düsseldorf.
