Mainz, 15 November 2007 - Lee Mays is to head up the branch of Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank (WIB) in Madrid with immediate effect. Mays began his career in 1988 in the Real Estate department of Citicorp Real Estate, Madrid. After moving to the newly formed Real Estate division of the Spanish banking group Argentaria, he has for the last ten years been a director at international real estate company Hines.
In his new post Mays is in charge of implementing WIB's business strategy in Spain and responsible for generating new business in what is an important core market for the bank in Europe.
Headquartered in Mainz, WIB is a wholly owned subsidiary of WestLB AG and a centre of competence for all real estate financing and structured real estate transactions in the WestLB group. It has six German offices, in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Mainz, Münster and Munich. Internationally the bank has a branch in London, representative offices in Madrid, New York, Paris, Prague, Warsaw and a subsidiary in Tokyo.
