Hubert Beckmann (47), an experienced savings bank manager and long-serving former WestLB employee, is to become the new Chairman of the Managing Board of Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank (WIB), the WestLB subsidiary.
Hubert Beckmann has been a member of the Managing Board of the Ostsächsische Sparkasse Dresden since 1998. Between 1988 and 1996 he held various positions in WestLB´s Investment Banking Division. In 1996 Beckmann was appointed to the Managing Board of Westdeutsche Landesbank (Ireland) plc.
In addition to Hubert Beckmann, the Managing Board of WIB in Mainz will comprise Dieter Groh (51) and Klaus Neuhaus (53). Beckmann will take up his appointment on January 1, 2006 at the latest. Dieter Groh will remain acting chief executive of Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank until the new chairman takes office.
The future composition of the Managing Board reflects the strategic reorientation of WIB as the competence centre for real estate financing as well as the expansion of the real estate business in close cooperation with the savings banks.
