Peter Knopp Appointed Chairman of the Managing Board of Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank AG

Mainz, May 26, 2008 – The Supervisory Board of Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank AG (WestImmo) has appointed Peter Knopp as Chairman of the Managing Board. He will take up his post on June 1, 2008. Peter Knopp, who is 48, succeeds Hubert Beckmann (aged 50), who becomes Vice Chairman of the WestLB AG Managing Board and Chairman of the WestImmo Supervisory Board on the same date. In addition to Peter Knopp (Chairman), the other members of the WestImmo Managing Board are Claus-Jürgen Cohausz and Rainer Spielmann.

Peter Knopp has been a member of the WestImmo Managing Board since August 1, 2007 with responsibility, among other things, for developing and expanding the capital markets business. Hubert Beckmann said: “I am convinced that, with Peter Knopp at the helm, the Managing Board will continue the positive development of WestImmo, maintaining the trustful cooperation and excellent communication between WestImmo and WestLB.”

WestImmo is the centre of competence for real estate finance and structured real estate transactions in the WestLB Group. In Germany it is represented in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Mainz, Münster and Munich, and internationally in London, Madrid, New York, Paris, Prague, Tokyo and Warsaw.
